Fundraising Best Practice in Action: Raise your fundraising goal - FirstGiving's CEO
Karsten Robbins, CEO of FirstGiving, participated in Movember. For those of you not aware of Movember, it's where men grow mustaches and collect donations for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Through his fundraising, he was able to raise his goal 3 times. He started at $500, went up to $750, and finally his final goal was $1000. He ended up finishing out Movember with $1032 earned to help out the Foundation.
He was realistic in his goal setting. Starting small with realistic goals and slowly gaining momentum over time is how he was able to not only reach, but surpass his goal.
What type of fundraising goals do you have this year?
What are you doing to get there?
