Welcome to the group Albert - Here are a few questions to ask yourself that may lead to a few answers.

Are your present customers in any one particular industry?

Do you have your sign up for my newsletter on everything you use to promote? Business cards? There are few other ideas on what you should have in an email newsletter in this link to a report I use for marketing.

If you determine a specific niche, find a list of postal addresses and send them a promo with an option to sign up for your email newsletter. An offer is of the utmost importance when using direct mail.

Is the sign up on your web site?

Have you joined any organizations or social media groups where your customers hang out? Local chamber of commerce?

thanks, MD.  Those are some great ideas and considering how little effect mailing someone has these days, I'd also say some outdated info.
