Google AdWords Certification Training

Anybody here have any direct experience in taking the Google certification program?  I'm a marketing/PR firm owner and contemplating whether or not to take the "deep dive."   Guess my biggest question is will this be a credential-builder that can help my new business development efforts.   Comments welcomed.
