Just working away here uploading contacts via the API when I noticed an issue
Bulk Activities - Import Contacts does not permit "fax" or "cell_phone" to be passed and added/updated to a Contacts record. Looking at the column_names, you'll see that fax and cell_phone are missing and trying to pass either causes the following errors:

Thanks for the feedback. Today we are not able to expose those fields in the bulk import. Will continue to look at exposing this going forward though I do not have any ETA on adding those fields.
If there any reason why fax and cell phone are not allowed?
The internal service which processes the bulk imports does not currently support these fields, which were newly added as part of our upgrades to Contact Management. We have just recently finished migrating all of our customers to our new Contact Management platform and are now working on extending functionality for these fields to the API and other areas of our product.
