Support Tagging in the API

 

It would be a nice feature to have to avoid having to manually tag members using the GUI, it would be a big time saver for customers who use the API but also want to use tagging.

I read in another post where Tags will not be included in V3.

Are they, and when is V3 expected to be released?

Tags are a feature that will be included with our V3 API. I can't provide a guarantee on a timeline, but we hope to have a full release of V3 Contacts features by the end of June.

Please notify me when the API V3 is available.  We have a project that requires API access to the Tag feature.

While there are no current plans to retire the Tags feature, we don't have immediate plans for any new development involving it at this time. Our v3 API does have advanced Custom Fields features, which work well with our new Segments feature allowing you to easily segment out your list and replicate the behavior of Tags.

Glad to see that the v3 API is out!

I can't find details anywhere about new tag features in v3. Is there any way to add tags to new or existing contacts with the new API?

Hi @ErikT825,

 

Our v3 API has limited release. The contacts endpoints are available, but as you noticed there is currently not a way to add tags. Our engineering teams are comparing the use of tags versus segmentations in the UI and will implement which ever one does better in the v3 API.

It is now Feb 2020, Seems like I cannot develop to use either segments OR Tags in V3.  This is really limiting, what is the current update?

Any update to this?  It's now June.  I'd like to built an integration, but lack of being able to initiate campaigns/emails kills it..
