I am frustrated that I can't simply cancel my account online. You can easily take our payments and change payments but you make it difficult to cancel our account; I have to contact during business hours and you don't have customer support during the weekends?! This makes me not want to use constant contact in the future.

Your hold time is in excess of 30 minutes and I want to cancel my membership with you!  You make this too difficult by not letting your clients do this online!

I want to cancel my account. This is the second time I have requested this. I am VERY dissatisfied with the service and dishonesty of the representative who contacted me initially. I was assured that my monthly fee would not be more than $45.

This is BS.   You should be able to cancel your account online.  I should not have to call someone to either reduce my bill, suspend my account, or cancel it.

I'm so irritated that I no longer want an account.

I am having the same problem with suspending my account too. The UK no can only be called from the UK between midnight and 4am. What use is this when you have to go to bed early to get up early for your job? Is there a number I can call during UK working hours please?

Please invoice me BEFORE debiting funds from my bank account. To take money and then have your representative act rude when I question the lack of an invoice prior to the debit is not professional.

 I asked if email addresses were part of the package (they would have this on their recording) which was not true. Once I determined that email addresses were not part of the package I wrote the guy who signed me up. See below, My first email to Andrew was June 13th, 2018, and it did not create an auto-reply. The auto-reply only happened on the 25th when I sent the 2nd email. Why would they provide Andrews email address if he did not receive incoming emails? Does this sound like a reputable company?


They took the second payment July 10, 2018. See emails below, I only removed my name and email address, otherwise, they are copies of the original emails


This email is requesting a cancelation and a full refund 


Andrew, I have not received a response. Regardless I want to cancel my subscription with Constant Contact, I am not able to obtain email lists as I requested. I expect a full refund as Constant Contact was not able to perform as discussed. I only signed on for the mailing lists.  Why would I pay for ConstantContact when I can get Mail Chimp for free. I will have low volume.

Andrew, during our call I asked if Constant Contact had Canadain lists, you indicated yes. 

If I am reading the information correctly, constant contact does not provide lists. Is this true?

This was not my understanding although I did ask the question a couple of times.

This is complete BS. I cancelled my account but low and behold they just took more money out of my account! I am in So Africa and can not call the US from my office and they won't cancel on line. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will NEVER recommend this service to anyone.

Contact your credit card company to block them and dispute the charges.  Leave them bad reviews EVERYWHERE.  Tell everyone else about them too.


 Don't forget to mark all their emails as SPAM!!


Absolutely insane that you cannot cancel your account online. I've been on hold for over 10 minutes and counting now to do something that should take less than 3 minutes to accomplish on my own. After having been a customer for several years, it definitely inspires me to tell others not to do business with your organization.

I am in China and want to cancel my account, but I have to CALL IN???????

Why can't I cancel online.

It's hard to call overseas from China as my mobile does not call international.

I have contacted them to cancel my account, they said they will do it in 4 working days and today they have withdrawn my bank $25 more. Anyone faces this issue? anyway to claim it back?

As far as the help and contact us buttons go, could you elaborate on what is happening with those buttons? Are they non-responsive or is there some specific strange behavior occurring? Our developers are still investigating possible issues with those features and It would be helpful for us to know what you are experiencing.

My wife has asked me to close this account never used in almost a year and I told my account manager to close it twice and he never did. I guess I got to remember to only call them to cancel, which I have done, just thought I could find on line way to do it. Very disappointing

you all need to include a delete / can cancel account option from the settings menu. This is completely unacceptable. I seriously don't have for a 15 minute phone call, just to cancel a trial account. I guess it will just sit here not being used.

You are correct, we do ask that users call into our Billing Department to take this action on their accounts. These calls only last a few minutes but allow us to maintain your account security and collect valuable feedback. With that being said, I have taken a look at your account and can see it is an expired trial account. Because of this you do not have to take any further actions to cancel, it is no longer active.

I am extremely upset about the difficulty of cancelling my account. No one would ever answer the phone and there is no way to cancel online. This is unacceptable and make your service one of the poorest I had to use.

The fact that you make it so difficult to cancel your account, having to call and wait on hold for a long time, and talk to someone who is pushy about not doing it, is insane. Especially while there are a plethora of other services that are both more modern, easier to use and free. I canceled my account because my business no longer exists. However, if I am to start another in the future, and need email services, etc, I would no come back to Constant Contact for these reasons, where as if it were easier to use, change or cancel the account or vastly more modern than competitors, I would have considered returning or suspending rather than canceling.

I wish to cancel my account and your system is incredibly frustrating. I trialed 5 email marketing platforms this month and yours is by far the most difficult to cancel out of. All the other systems allow this to be done via their account admin pages but you seem to require an international phone call - which I am reluctant to pay for. Up to this point I was reasonably impressed with your system but I doubt I shall be recommending it now due to the difficult extraction process.

I'm trying to cancel an account and you funnel everything (chat, email, etc.) to calling you which then I have to wait on the phone for (at this time) upwards of 30 minutes. I'm aware the likelihood of you changing is unlikely, but your customer service channels are a nightmare to deal with.
