Add an email list signup form on an SSL secured page.

Looking for an api to add Constant Contacts email list signup form on an SSL secured page.  All the buttons and forms end up using http://visitor.constantcontact.com/d.jsp   which pops up a security warning and changing to https breaks the link.  Was told by a CC rep that someone here could point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.  Tim

The error message that you are seeing is because the page that you are seeing is because you are using an HTTPS page, but displaying some elements that are not from an HTTPS server. This can be caused by elements that we are using in the Join my Mailing List form, which are hosted at a normal HTTP address.

Unfortunately the only alternatives that I could offer for our Join My Mailing List form would be:

1) Move the sign up form off of an HTTPS page. This would prevent the notification that an HTTPS page is attempting to display non-secure elements.

2) Remove the images from your form and replace them with images you have hosted yourself on an HTTPS location, as this can prevent the warning message you are seeing from being shown.

You always have the options of designing your own form using our API, which would allow you to customize every element of the sign up process. Since the entire process would be hosted on your site, we would never be displaying elements from an HTTP page. If you are looking for more information on this, I would recommend taking a look at our REST Api Reference guide, as well as our Sample Codes page, which has examples in C#, PHP, and ColdFusion to help get you started.

Another option you may want to look at would be to use our new Constant Contact Signup Form Generator. This is a new utility we have created that will allow you to generate your own signup forms for your website. These will not use images from Constant Contact and should prevent any https security warning from being shown.

I hope this information helps. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thanks.
