It sounds like your API key either 1) wasn't included in the request--as long as you saw it in the API Key field in IO Docs, that probably wasn't the case, 2) the key hadn't populated to our database yet--it takes up to 15 minutes for that to happen, or 3) the key isn't in active status yet.
If it was #3, or you're having trouble figuring out the issue, feel free to email us at email@example.com with your API Key so that we can check its status and update it if necessary.
