User account is locked

Hy,

I have been playing with the API yesterday for a couple of hours succeeding in creating a method that creates and updates my users.

I've hardcoded the username and password and the solution is not available in production, only in localhost.

It was working yesterday and today I see this message:

I can login perfectly fine in constantcontact.com.

I apreciate any help in getting this back to normal.

HI Matias,

 

Are you still having the issue?  Since your integration was working properly before, it might have been that someone else tried to login normally through constantcontact.com, but missed the password several times and locked the account up.  That would also prevent the API from accessing the account.

 

I have seen cases where an account kept being locked by another user who was trying to login using the wrong username.  If this keeps happening, it might be a good idea to change your username (email addresses sometimes work well, since no one will think they have the same email address and lock the account up).

What I meant when I said:
"I can login perfectly fine in constantcontact.com"
is that I can login perfectly fine with the same username and password the API rejects for being locked.

 

I only have 1 account, 1 username and 1 key.

Is this still occurring?  If so, please send us an email at webservices@constantcontact.com with your username so that we can check to see if the account is locked (or has some other issue) and unlock it if so.

Yes, the problem is still ocurring.
"Too many bad logins" via API.

I can still login fine via CC website

I have sent the email.
