Hi Nick - I have created a template but now I want to  create a customized graphic header in Photoshop and import it as an image for future emails.  How do I know what size to make my image?

Thanks, Barb

Thanks a ton Nick. Great help to people like me who have been struggling for this solution. Using template for my emails is a must for me because of the hassle involved by not using a template.

Nick,

Is there an option to import custom code as a reusable template, not just as a one-time email?

I have a template design that will be utilized for many emails, and it doesn't fit any of the pre-made standard template options. Some are close, but limitations like the inability to remove or change the one-pixel border around the content area, or lack of access to the template source code, make replicating my design impossible. I don't want to have to code every email from scratch in a third party program and import it into the Advanced Editor every time I need to utilize this template for an email.

Most ESPs provide some kind of template language documentation to ensure you've coded your template with the proper classes and editable content block tags, but I can't find any information about coding reusable templates anywhere in the help documentation or discussions, much less template language specs.

There are several discussions with similar questions, but all the moderator responses I've seen direct people to Help documentation on importing custom code for a single email in the Advanced Editor, not for a reusable template.

Is this simply not an option in Constant Contact?

Hi @SaraT0667

That's a great question! I can definitely understand how helpful it would be to make your custom code email a reusable template. I apologize there is not currently a tool to save a previously sent email as a template. We do however suggest making a copy of a previously sent email instead. If you copy your older custom coded campaign it will keep the same coding that you can then update for your newest email.

Thanks for sharing! This is much easier to use from the layout and design perspectives.

How and where do I save my personal customed template?

Hi @GaryO580

The good news is your templates are all saved and are available under the campaigns tab of your account.

So if you were to personalize one of the templates we provide, this is where you'll be able to find it. we have even seen customers places these reusable templates in a campaign folder to help make finding them a little easier. I hope this helps!
