How to Edit Images using Enhance, Frames and Text

CTCT Employee

After our first Image editing post going over the features of Cropping, Resizing and Orientation, let's take a look at a few new options in the editor: Enhance, Frames and Text.

  • Enhance - Within Enhance, there are 3 options - Hi-Def, Illuminate and Color Fix.  Hi-Def makes the image appear that it was taken with a High Definitition camera.  This can help to enhance the image and background.  Illuminate adds more light to the image, making it appear like the image was taken in a brighter setting.  Color Fix is a tool that works to try to increase the clarity of some of the colors in the image.  Maybe you took an image in the daylight, but the sky does not look as blue as it could.  Color Fix can help to enhance the image to bring out this color more

  • Frames - You can add a frame to your image, anything from a standard black frame to a white frame to a negative strip.  Click the arrows to see more frames!

  • Text -  Adding text allows you to type in your own message choosing a font and color.

Make sure to click Apply one each step and then Save to save the changes to your image!

Hi @IrynaG3

Great question! The image editing tool within your Library will allow you to put text on top of your image if you would like. You will want to click "Image Editor" from within the Image detail window.

Once the file is open in Aviary you can scroll the editing options to see the "Text" option. Just add in your text and format as needed.
