Some nice tips there, however reusing content, even if you are planning to change it the way you propose might still have some detrimental SEO effects. That's why I am somehow skeptical about your round-up posts idea, though I can see some ways it could work.
On the other hand, I like the idea of changing the medium, though it stands in contradiction to saving time. You propose we reuse certain aspects of our content which is great but actually rereading your content just for the sake of having an mp3 version might actually be much more time consuming and strenuous thant coming up with some new stuff in the typical way.

I think the trick to the roundup post is to have a new perspective and addtional conent in the roundup. You won't get dinged for SEO if there is new insights and introductions. Also, if you look at the number of people who read an individual blog post introducting the content to a wider audience gets more mileage for the post.
Yes, there is work involved in changing the medium.but again it gives you a chance to reach a wider audience, since some people will listen to a podcast who won't take the time to read.
