If you’re reading this, you either are really excited about Small Business Saturday or you are wondering what the heck is it and how can you benefit… Well, read on in either case!
Started in 2010, Small Business Saturday is a national initiative devised to encourage people to shop at local, independently-owned merchants in their communities. It is aimed at educating shoppers on the importance of supporting their local community and, of course, helping them to realize that by doing so they will get a unique experience that no big box or online store can offer.
On Saturday, November 26th, people are asked to shop only at small independent retailers. Following directly after Black Friday, Small Business Saturday reminds us just how important it is to support those in our neighborhood, down the street, or that “mom and pop” that has been around since you were little…
So, why are we dedicating an area of the Community to this? For the next month, we will be sharing with you things that can help you get the most out of your Small Business Saturday AND we want to know exactly how you will be celebrating.
What will you be doing?
Where will you be shopping?
How is your small business getting involved?
Post your ideas, questions, thoughts, successes, examples and personal stories here!
