Auctioneer Family from Missouri

I run a small family auction business from St. Louis, MO. USA.
I work with my wife, my son, my daughter, my daughter-in-law and some other part time folks.

We have sold everything from Koolaid to a coffin converted into a cooler to a million dollar auction of vintage comic books to real estate, to benefit auctions. My company has helped raise over a million dollars for charity, and dug wells in African villages.

My son has almost the same name as me but is not  a jr. so we call him Rob Lite. I don't want to be Old Rob or Chubby Rob so I go by Rob Classic.

We are members of the National Auctioneer's Association, and The Missouri Professional Auctioneer's Association. We have earned several designations including the Certified Auctioneer's Institute, Graduate Personal Property Appraiser, Certified Estate Specialist and Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate.

I teach classes on Google and how to use it more effectively at the National and State level (Google Kung Fu and Website Karate for Small Business.) I am mostly looking to learn about what others are doing on CC to get more results from Facebook, or other social media. Real results, people showing up with money to spend. So far I have been disapointed with my ROI in this area. Oh yea, I forgot, yes I can talk fast.

Hi Rob,

Welcome! I'm sure you will find some great information and connections here. One place I would recommend checking out here is our Social Media board. You will be able to see posts we've written as well as other users questions and advice.

There are lots of resources about Facebook and growing results using Social Media sites. A great place to start would be our Social Media Quickstarter site. This site is designed to help you with social media, from creating a page to growing your followers. It reviews several different types of Social Media sites so you can start with Facebook and move on to others when you are ready.

I look forward to seeing you acound the Community.
