How to Deal With Emotions to Maximize Productivity

Everyone has problems at work and home but you need to learn how to not let problems come between your relationships.  Learning to deal with emotions is difficult but if you don’t learn to deal with them, they usually find a way to deal with you in the end.

Wealthy Gorilla shared an article about how to deal with your emotions in a way that allows you to still focus on work and being productive.

  1. Be optimistic. Have a positive attitude, they are contagious.
  2. Go with the flow. Learning company culture is important since 46% of new hires quit or are fired within the first 18 months.
  3. Don’t gossip. It is easy to get caught in the trap but leave it alone if possible.
  4. Don’t wonder what if, just ask or move on. Get it out of the way so you don’t need to dwell on what’s going on in other people’s minds.
  5. When to hold back. Know when you should speak up and when you should hold back.
  6. Don’t let feelings affect motivation and performance. Only 29% of people are fully engaged with their work.
