A recent post titled "Make the Most of Mother's Day" on the NonProfit Marketing Blog talks about how to use these holidays to your advantage. As Nancy Schwartz states in the article "Your people are already thinking about this stuff, making them far more likely to connect with your campaign than at other times."
Make sure to check out the article because there are some great examples of how some organizations have used Mother's Day to connect with their audience. Using smaller holiday's like Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparent's Day, etc. can give you a personal connection with your audience, and help to keep your organization front of mind during these times. How great would it be to remind your contacts about donating to your organization on behalf of their mother or father? It sounds like an awesome, thoughtful gift, right?
Do you promote around Mother's day? If not, are you thinking about it now?
