Promoted Posts on Facebook

Did you know that if your Facebook Page has more than 400 likes, you can now promote your posts?  This will definitely help your post reach more.  After you have set up your post, you can click the Promote button. Then you can set your budget for the lifetime of the post, instead of a daily budget.

All types of posts can be promoted, images, status updates, videos, offers.  Facebook even created a guide for you to learn more called "Promote Your Pages Posts".

The guide states:

"When you promote a post, it will be shown in the news feeds of more of the people who like your page than you would reach normally. Friends of the people who have interacted with your post will also be more likely to see the story in their news feeds for up to three days from when the post was first created."

  • Did you know that you can Promote Your Posts on Facebook now?
  • Have you promoted any posts?
  • How many fans are you reaching without promoting?

Re: Promoted Posts on Facebook

This is an interesting article from earlier this year with a stream of comments on it:

Your Average Facebook Post Only Reaches 12% Of Your Friends

So getting into the inbox and driving people to what you want them to see - on your blog, on Facebook, etc., seems like it's still important?
