As a small business owner, you never seem to have enough time. Often you're the marketing department, the accounting department, and the sales department----all in one! How to Triage Your Social Media Use
List all the social platforms that you feel you "must" be on: Facebook, Yelp, Instagram, etc.
Research which platforms your customers, clients, donors, suppliers expect to find you on. Not sure? Try asking them.
Eliminate all social media sites that aren't frequently mentioned in step #2.
Rank the remaining platforms based on the responses from Step #2.
Choose the first one to five platforms on your list and give them your best "treatment." How? Make time to post valuable content regularly, interact with your community, and support others in their efforts. Remember, a good bedside manner in social media requires building relationships.
You don't expect your ER doctor to treat 20 patients at once. So give yourself a break, apply the practice of social media triage, and start building a healthier business.
