How can we tell if a new subscriber is from a spam bot or real? We ask for first name only and the last 6 months, have been seeing names like "59fd01b211f9e" and "rbiheamo" but the email addresses appear to be legit, such as gmail, yahoo, and comcast. Is there a program that subscribers can use to scramble their names so that they are unidentifiable? Or should we assume these are spam? Thank you, Johanna
Thank you for contacting the Community! I'm sorry you're getting suspicious sign-ups. Please feel free to email us at social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com with the username for your account and a reference to this post so we can further investigate exactly what's going on.
I did exactly what you recommended and got a response back from you that now I need to make a phone call...really? Or was that an auto-generated message?
The Account Review team is the best department to contact in regards to these types of sign ups, as they are best equipped to look into them further and provide you with some additional information.
I apologize for any confusion but we want to make sure that you get the best assistance!
