If you responded “Not enough time to get everything done”, then you’re on the same level with the 38% that listed “time” as their top answer. It’s no surprise either. Small business owners never get a day off. Owning a business is a 24 hour a day job and with it comes many roles. In fact, 46% of respondents said they have to wear the hat of 3-4 different employees any given day.
Time definitely. Hiring employees has also been a challenge. It's an artform and if you hire the wrong people, it can be very costly for your company with regard to time and money. We finally dialed it in but it took us awhile.
Time is a short way to answer this, but more specifically for me it's that I've had to learn several new languages (that of business in general, plus marketing and internet technology), and so many times in order to accomplish what should be one simple thing, I end up having to graduate from several universities of something or other to acquire the know how needed to be a do it yourselfer -- things like setting up Paypal or an autoresponder so I can deliver a give-away info product. It's like every task is a jig saw puzzle with no clear picture of what it's supposed to look like when you're done.
But hey, this keeps me from flipping burgers or driving a cab. LOL.
