Kerri Karvetski, Online Campaigns and Social Media Adviser, posted on Kivi's Nonprofit Communications Blog earlier today with some tips for Copywriting and for your end of the year fundraising.

 

Key points that I took away from this are as follows:

 

  • Don't bury your Call-To-Action. Make this as evident as possible
  • By December 31st you are closing your fundraising and you need your donors to donate by then
  • January is when your fundraising will end, with a Thank You note
  • The best time that aggressive fundraisers will send emails is between December 26-December 31, and they receive an "avalanche of donations"
  • Encourage giving NOW and show the impact the donation will make
