Our open rate is not as high as it is, sometimes! Please give us some feedback on what we can do to boost this! We are a privately owned natural market with 2 locations. (in case you wondered!) The email is sent out 3 times a month, and we try to feature whats new in the store and of course, offer a monthly coupon or discount.

MY Humble Opinion
Looking at the contents of your email will do nothing directly for your open rate. That would be more appropriatley measured with click through rate, etc.
The most important thing in an open rate is to ensure that you're sending to someone who wants and sees value in it. Where do you get your addresses, how old are they? The second most important is segmenting your lists. Your products are quite vast, can you create segmented lists to target better? This allows you better Subject Line focus as well.
Once they open your email content is important, but the content itself isn't going to have folks open it. I personally think you need to spend more time in the photography stage, the photos you're using aren't that hot for product focus. Less text and a more consistent appearance (fonts / colors) and branding seem to be missing.
I suggest you look at your stats and analyze your lists. Sample 10% and actually look at the folks that have received your email. Have they ever opened it? How many times have they opened it? When did they stop opening it?
Sometimes spending a few hours in the numbers will do more than design to understand what needs to be tweaked.
