We would love to get your feedback on our employee newsletter. We are a large public school district that uses Constant Contact to send a newsletter twice a month to our 10,000+ employees. However, we only have a 15% open rate. (Thankfully, we have about a 25% click rate!) We'd like to know your thoughts on what could be improved. Thank you.

I thought your email looked good. It was not too long and I loved your social media buttons at the top.
I really liked your piece about the employee of the month. I'd consider highlighting more employees in your newsletter. Maybe you could do a Q&A with some of the staff of the school district, focusing on what they do and how they contribute to the school they work at.
You had some nice images and the colors in your email looked great!
I wouldn't worry about your open rate. It's right around the 19% industry average.

Great newsletter. The only recommendation I would make is to emphasize the area for the employee of the month. If Jarad didn't mention it in his review I may have missed it. If you want to try increase the open rate, add a contest that is fun but not to challenging. For example, "How well did you read this newsletter?" A few open ended, multiple choice and true and false are all good types. Always make one very obvious or funny to keep the readers interest. I'll leave the reward up to your creativity.
