We are testing the Add Contact API via bulk activities using the .net CTCT wrapper and have found that the process will error out on an email like this firstname.lastname@example.org. But, you can enter that address through the Constant Contact UI.
Why is that email allowed in through the UI and not via the upload batch?
Is there a way to stop the system from trying validate each email on the way in?
I found details on the validation in this post http://community.constantcontact.com/t5/Developer-Support-ask-questions/Complex-email-addresses-are-.... Are thses still current. I seem to have addresses being rejected that would pass these rules.
As well, I was able to import the addresses that did fail via the ui and the imorting of a CSV.
Some information on this would be appreciated.
