CCSFG_0.0.4 Question

We have a sign-up now working here: http://www.abovept.com/pilates/ and http://www.abovept.com/gyrotonic/

We want existing clients to have the option to re-subscribe if they are already in the system, "you are recieving this bc you are a previous member and you would like to resubscribe." (like Join My Mailing List has) instead of this page:

http://www.abovept.com/CCSFG_0.0.4/signup/mailer-error.html

Is that possible?

Thanks,

Brian

Re: CCSFG_0.0.4 Question

Unfortunately the CCSFG was only designed to add new contacts and will not update existing contact information, as there would be nothing to prevent one subscriber from inserting the email address of another subscriber and updating that persons information. There would be no way to validate if that person is who they say they are. With that being said, we are looking into some compromises involving adding that functionality without compromising security. We will certainly post on these forums if/when that change is implemented, security is our #1 concern though.

Thanks. Is there a

Thanks. Is there a work-around to allow current people subscribed to a different list, to be able to subscribe to a different list?

Instead of being told their name is already in the system?

updating contact in CCSFG

Hello Brian,

Currently the Sign up form generator does not have the functionality built in to update contacts. However, someone with knowledge of PHP could add this functionality on your end with using our API's.

The way you would do this is when someone is already a contact, you would then do a PUT call with our API's to the Contact Collection URI, with the contacts XML, with the newly added list.

If you do not have access to anyone with a more detailed knowledge of PHP, I would recommend the Constant Contact Marketplace, where there are third party developers who have expressed interest in working with Constant Contact customers on integrating with our services.

If you have any further questions please let me know.
