Hi;
We are using the Constant Contact Signup Form Generator (CCSFG) and it is working. But, I just noticed an issue with duplicate email addresses.
When we test this and use a new email address that is not on in CC, we get to the "Thank You for Subscribing" page and the name appears in CC.
But, if we use an email address that is already in CC, we get the Sorry Try Again page.
Is this how it is supposed to work? If not, please offer some suggestions about how we can fix it.

Hi,
The easiest way to resolve the issue is to email us at webservices@constantcontact.com for the version of the signup form that allows contacts to be updated as well as added.

Hello,
What you are experiencing is an intentional design feature of the CCSFG because there are some potential issues that can arise when the ability to update contacts is enabled. You can read more about this, as well as how to get a version of CCSFG that will allow for updating, in this post by our API Product Manager:
Also, please feel free to reply to this post with any questions!

Elijah;
Thanks for the explanation.
With the existing version of CCSFG, is there any way around the confusion that will result when existing CC subscribers get the Sorry Try Again page when they try to sign up? Thats what we really want to solve.
Many of the people that will sign up as a result of the CCSFG are already on our CC list. And when they get the Sorry page after they have input a valid email address, that will be confusing. Is there any way to solve this? We tried putting the names that resulted from the test we are doing w CCSFG into a new list (and then merging it with our main list later). But that did not work.
Putting an explanation on the Sorry page doesnt work. Any other suggestions are appreciate. Thanks.

Hi;
I got the updated version of the CCSFG and installed it. Now, everything is successful, no matter what you put in the form.
Previsously, the CCSFG worked fine except for the problem with contacts already in CC. When we got the new version that corrected that, this problem started happening. Now, even if you leave the form blank, it takes you to the Thank You for subscribing page.
Any suggestions on how to fix this. Thanks.
