Is it possible to get an HTTP callback when an action is taken by a user on an email sent from CC? I know Mailchimp does this and I am hoping CC has something similar. If so, please point me in the direction of the URL of the page that describes the mechanism? Something like http://apidocs.mailchimp.com/webhooks/.
Unfortunately ConstantContact does not have this functionality available with our API's at this time. You do have the ability to use our API to Query Contacts by Last Update Date that would allow you to grab a group of contacts based off their last updated date.
With that being said, our web services API's do not have the ability to 'push' data to you, they can only be pulled by you initiating an http request.
I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns regarding this.
I wanted to *bump* this topic. I have searched on the forums to see whether there are any additional webhook capabilities released for Contact-specific updates. It appears that webhooks are still limited to partner-level entity updates at this time.
I have a customer who is interested in keeping his CRM in sync with CC whenever a Contact is modified in some way. While it is possible to build a "polling-style" integration, I wanted to find out whether webhooks are an option (and just not documented) or will be arriving on the scene soon, so I can make a recommendation to my customer regarding feasibility.
Thanks in advance!
This functionality is not yet available with our API, so you can only pull information by initiating a request to us. We don't have any immediate plans on implementing this at this time.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
