I am designing an interface from my client's POS system to ctct. The client would like to set up online surveys (in ctct) and then send customers an email directing them to a specific survey. Can the customer contact info be sent using the API's so the email gets sent? (We do not want to create a survey using the API - only cause an email to be sent to the customer using the API).
It is definitely possible to create and send emails using only our API's! We allow the creation of HTML or XHTML emails using our campaign collection API's, and then we also have scheduling API's available so you can schedule them.
There are two things that you need to know when doing this. First, the scheduling API is an API that we do need to enable in your account. In order to get this feature, you need to contact our AppConnect team.
The other thing that is important to know is that when using our custom HTML and XHTML emails, all surveys using the survey link will be anonymous, unless you also include a survey question in the survey that collects there information. The only way that you would be able to make a non-anonymous email, without using the survey question that collects the information that they give, would have to still be created in our templates, but can still be scheduled with our scheduling API.
