Can we retrieve the date that a contact was added to a particular list using the API?

Our app syncs over emails from CC but we are having an issue. We only want to bring over users after date X but it seems that when an email is added in CC to another list, our app looks at that updated date.

Is there a way to only look at the created date for list X in CC?

Also is there a way to disregard that upated date?

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately it is not possible in the current version of the API to get a specific date for when a contact was added to a specific list. While you are able to get the date that a contact was modified as you mentioned, that includes a variety of things, not just a single list.

However, having siad that the API does provide a way to view only members of a specific list, and that can be filtered by the date that contact was last modified. This date could be triggered by a contact also being a member of another date, but it would allow you to filter it does to only contacts that are members of the target list. You can read about that API endpoint here: http://developer.constantcontact.com/docs/contact-list-api/contactlist-membership-collection.html

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Sincerely,
