Constant Contact automatically generated html code has errors

I've been provided code by a Constant Contact customer to add on the customers web site. The code has errors and need to be fixed. Can someone help in fixing this?

<!-- BEGIN: Constant Contact Basic Opt-in Email List Form -->
<div align="center">
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3" bgcolor="#ffffcc" style="border:2px solid #000000">
<tr>
<td align="center" style="font-weight:bold;font-family:Arial;font-size:12px;color:#000000">Join Our Mailing List</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="center" style="border-top:2px solid #000000">
<form name="ccoptin" action="<a href="http://visitor.constantcontact.com/d.jsp" target="_blank">http://visitor.constantcontact.com/d.jsp</a>" target="_blank" method="post" style="margin-bottom:2">
<input type="hidden" name="m" value="1101529521539">
<input type="hidden" name="p" value="oi">
<font style="font-weight:normal;font-family:Arial;font-size:12px;color:#000000">Email:</font> <input type="text" name="ea" size="20" value="" style="font-size:10pt;border:1px solid #999999">
<input type="submit" name="go" value="Go" class="submit" style="font-family:Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">
</form>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
<!-- END: Constant Contact Basic Opt-in Email List Form -->
<!-- BEGIN: SafeSubscribe -->
<div align="center" style="padding-top:5px">
<a href="<a href="http://www.constantcontact.com/safesubscribe.jsp" target="_blank">http://www.constantcontact.com/safesubscribe.jsp</a>" target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://img.constantcontact.com/ui/images1/safe_subscribe_logo.gif" target="_blank">http://img.constantcontact.com/ui/images1/safe_subscribe_logo.gif</a>" border="0" width="168" height="14" alt=""/></a>
</div>
<!-- END: SafeSubscribe -->

It looks like it was emailed to you and the code we generated for your client was modified. Notice that there are many extra a tags incorrectly placed in the middle of the form or other links. Also, the img tag src was modified to have an extra a tag in it as well. Let me fix it for you:

<!-- BEGIN: Constant Contact Basic Opt-in Email List Form -->
<div align="center">
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3" bgcolor="#ffffcc" style="border:2px solid #000000">
<tr>
<td align="center" style="font-weight:bold;font-family:Arial;font-size:12px;color:#000000">Join Our Mailing List</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="center" style="border-top:2px solid #000000">
<form name="ccoptin" action="http://visitor.constantcontact.com/d.jsp" target="_blank" method="post" style="margin-bottom:2">
<input type="hidden" name="m" value="1101529521539">
<input type="hidden" name="p" value="oi">
<font style="font-weight:normal;font-family:Arial;font-size:12px;color:#000000">Email:</font> <input type="text" name="ea" size="20" value="" style="font-size:10pt;border:1px solid #999999">
<input type="submit" name="go" value="Go" class="submit" style="font-family:Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">
</form>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
<!-- END: Constant Contact Basic Opt-in Email List Form -->
<!-- BEGIN: SafeSubscribe -->
<div align="center" style="padding-top:5px">
<a href="http://www.constantcontact.com/safesubscribe.jsp" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.constantcontact.com/ui/images1/safe_subscribe_logo.gif" border="0" width="168" height="14" alt=""/></a>
</div>
<!-- END: SafeSubscribe -->

Hi, I am working to integrate the same from into my own site. It looks as the only unique id is "m" which has the value of "1101529521539" I'm assuming that is the customer number of some type. How can I find mine or get this same form working for my account.

Thanks!

- Noah

Hi Noah,

If you go through the process to generate your signup form in your account you can find your unique value for that.  To create your signup form so you can see that value, login to your account and go to:

Contacts>>Grow My Contact List>>Get a link to my website signup form

Then press next (twice) until you get to the last page with the HTML code.  You can find your unique account value in that code.
