Editing the sign-up button and form size

With very basic understanding of HTML and CSS, I'm trying to edit the actual sign-up button at the end of the form. I want to make it smaller and a different color. Can you point me in the right direction, i.e. if that's even possible, what should I edit, and is it CSS?

Also, is it possible to edit the form boxes, make them smaller or larger? Is it possible to add default text in them so that I can remove the title above the box?

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Constant Contact's API Support.

Editing the sign up form depends on if you created your own sign up form, using our Embedded Code, or using the sign up form that we provide in the Contacts section of your account.

If you are using the sign up form we provide then you cannot edit the button or form size. If you created your own form then you can of course make any alterations you want. If you are using the Embedded Code then you can also make changes, but there are some things that need to be removed first. We have a tech blog that gives details on this. Please take a look at this article and it should help you out.

**edited response as our embedded code is no longer available

This link needs to update. Clicking on it leads to a 404 page.

Hi @Carolw,

Thank you, our embedded code is no longer available and we have replaced it with our new inline forms and pop-up forms. I have removed that link as the article it pointed to was also no longer available.

How can we changed the style of the inline form? It's too big. It spans the width of my website and I do not see an option or code turtorial about how to fix that.

Hello

Thank you for reaching out to Constant Contact API Developer Support, and for your patience. My team is here to assist outside software developers with questions about building into Constant Contact's API.

There is not currently an option to customize the size/style of Constant Contact’s standard Inline Sign-up Form.

http://knowledgebase.constantcontact.com/articles/KnowledgeBase/18265-Create-a-Sign-Up-Form-with-the...

If you need an inline form for your website that allows for further customization, you would need to use a 3rd party form that meets your customization needs. You can either search online for 3rd party forms that are compatible with your website host and Constant Contact, or you can search our Marketplace:

https://marketplace.constantcontact.com

If you have created/developed your own form, you can connect it using Constant Contact’s V3 API:

Hello WOWembossing,

Thank you for reaching out to Constant Contact API Developer Support. My team is here to assist outside software developers with questions about building into Constant Contact's API.

I’m sorry for any difficulty you’ve experienced with customizing your inline sign-up form. Our inline forms don’t currently have an option to customize the size/style of of the form, however, I have tracked your feedback on a feature request for the ability to do so.

If you require a form that allows for further customization options, you would need to use a 3rd party form that meets your customization requirements. You can either search for a 3rd party form online that is compatible with Constant Contact and your website host, or check the Integrations page within your Constant Contact account.

If you're interested in developing your own form, you can connect it using Constant Contact's V3 API:
