EmailCampaign. FromName – using Html Entities

I want to insert special html entity – "black star" properly encoded as "★" to EmailCampaign.FromName, but entity is always replaced with question mark "?" – entity not recognized.

I have success inserting it in the html body of my email but not in the From filed.

Thanks in advance

Re: EmailCampaign. FromName – using Html Entities

Hi,

You can encode the subject character to "★" to have the star be visible in the subject line within Constant Contact.  Doing some testing on my own, however, when the email gets sent out, very few email clients support the star character, in which case the code will show up to your customer.  For that reason, I wouldn't advise trying to send out a subject line with a star character.
