We have a test site and a production site. The test site (recently set up) is used for testing or software that use the Constant Contact APIs. On the production site I can hover over a list and get the list id for that list from the URI. But in this new test site that doesn't work. Instead I get something like this...
Is there some other way I can find the list id?
The best way to get the list IDs for your account is to use the Lists API (V1 Documentation is found here: https://community.constantcontact.com/t5/Documentation/Retrieving-a-Contact-List-Collection/ba-p/250...). Doing a GET on that resource will provide you with the first 50 lists in your account and a pagination link if you have more than 50. We highly recommend that if you are doing new development, you use the V2 API as the V1 API has been deprecated and will at some point be retired. No date on that yet but we have stopped all new development on V1 and while it will continue to work, as new features are added to our product it will start to have a degraded experience.
Dave, what would be the best way to get updates on the status of V1 API. I'm currently using it and would like to keep tabs on when it will be retired.
The best option is to subscribe to our Developer Newsletter, which is how we communicate all changes, new features and open/closed defects to our developer community. Alternatively, you could also subscribe to our blog to get updates there: http://techblog.constantcontact.com. Hope that helps!
