Invalid API key used

I followed the instructions from http://developer.constantcontact.com/api-keys.html to created my API key and access token.  However, when I try to retrieve a contact info using the Java SDK I get the following error:

"The Mashery account associated with this request is not active,or an invalid API key was used"

I'm using the Java SDK from here:  https://github.com/constantcontact/java-sdk.  From the messages in the developer community, it looks like I'm trying to use V1 API key with V2 SDK, but the instructions above created V2 API key.  How can I tell the versions of both my key and my SDK?

Thanks,

Re: Invalid API key used

Hello!

This error could be caused by a few different things:

a) The API Key is not entered correctly into your application

b) The API Key is inactive
c) Your Mashery account's email address has not yet been confirmed. Before any API keys are made active, you must first verify the email address associated with the Mashery account you used to create the key.

Please email us at webservices@constantcontact.com and include your API Key for further assistance with this.

Sincerely,
