I'm trying to make a PUT call in the I/O docs and OPTOUT a contact, but the response body continues to say ACTIVE (even though the call succeeds). Any idea why this is happening? I've attached screenshots to show you what I've done, and please let me know if you need more info. Any help you can provide will help greatly.
The reason that changing the OPTOUT status through a PUT request is not working is because that action is separated into a different API call. In order to change a contact to OPTOUT status, you need to make a DELETE request to https://api.constantcontact.com/v2/contacts/CONTACTID
