I have a Custom Campaign and I'm trying to use the API to make a copy of that Campaign. When I get the Campaign Details of the existing campaign, the stylesheet is returned in the response as shown below. It's been clobbered. Is this a problem on CC or is there something I can do to get this formated correctly. I'm using the ctctWrapper.php library (available from this site) which is using curl to do the requests.
I tried recreating the issue you are having and I can definitely recreate it. I am going to be contacting our engineers and letting them know that this is an issue.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Our engineers are still working to fix this. I am going to contact them today and get an update as to where this process is. Once I receive any new information I will post it here on this forum.
I know this is 2 years old and I am still seeing the same results. The style_sheet returned is not able to be turned around.
Have there been any updates or work arounds for this?
I'm sorry, but as you've seen, when style sheets are returned via the API, they are still significantly different from how they were input. It is something we're looking into fixing, but there are significant obstacles to fixing the issue.
Although we recognize this as a serious issue, we recommend against using an external style sheet, since some email clients like gmail strip out external style sheets immediately and won't render them. Even email clients that do recognize external style sheets often don't apply the styles correctly where specified, and we've found that the best way to get styles rendered consistently is to specify styles inline for each span/div/p/other.

Thanks Shannon for your honest, and thorough reply. I spologize for reopening a 2-year old thread.
While disappointed, I understand and will use the inline styles.
