System is busy?

As far as I can tell I did a pretty good job of setting up an ajax function to the form generated signup/index.php however the return alert in my ajax keeps showing me:

<div id="code" title="400">
</div>
<h3>We're Sorry!</h3>
<p>It appears that you were not added to our mailing list. This may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
<ol> <li>You have misspelled your email address</li>
<li>You did not choose a list to subscribe to</li>
<li>The system may be busy. Please try again later</li> </ol> </p>

I really need to get this working if anyone knows why this might be?

Re: System is busy?

Hi,

The issue is almost never that 'the system is busy' when this error is seen, and we didn't have any outages or performance issues yesterday.  Can you verify that a valid email address was entered and that you chose a valid list when trying to add it?

Re: System is busy?

Yes I know the information was valid. I used the latest version of jQuery to call the CCSFG script. Upon reverting back to the standard PHP style call everything works fine...

Re: System is busy?

Hi,

If you're getting the 400 error, that means something is changing in the payload you send to us between when you use the CCSFG with and without jQuery.  If you compare the payload (XML) you send to us when you get the error vs when the call is successful you will likely see the issue.

Fiddler can be helpful in seeing the payload you send to us, and WinMerge could be helpful when comparing the successful vs unsuccessful calls (XML).
