Values for Contact 'Status'

What are all the possible values for 'Status' (for an individual Contact ) and what are they used to determine?

I only know of:
Active - Contacts who are opted-in

Removed - Contacts deleted by customer

DoNotMail - opted out (Is my spelling and case correct?

Hi,

A contact's status indicates, essentially, whether the contact is currently billed for (only active contacts count for billing purposes).  It also indicates whether or not they receive emails and why.

This link, at the bottom of the page, describes the different contact statuses, which are, Active, Removed, Do Not Mail (yes, with spaces), and Unconfirmed.  Unconfirmed is seldom used, but a contact goes into that status if an account has confirmed opt in ON, which requires a contact to click on a link in an email that is sent out after they subscribe to become active.

The Status field is read-only, but I know I did post some examples that included lines to 'change' the contact status, even though it didn't do anything (my apologies).  There is no need to include a line for the contact's status or attempt to change it.  The contact's status will change appropriately depending on whether they are being added to or removed from lists in your code.  (For example, if a contact was Removed, but you add lists to them, they will become Active through that action--adding lists--alone).

That's exactly what I needed, I just couldn't put together the right search term to find it - thanks!
