Re: when sending request to schedule it goes to draft mode

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to the API Support team here at Constant Contact.

Your account is currently in Trial and so you can send to up to 100 unique contacts during the trial. The emails which you are seeing reset to draft are doing so because the lists it is scheduled to send to have more than 100 contacts.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Re: when sending request to schedule it goes to draft mode

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply.

I understand the point that when the contacts list is more than 100 then it will go to "DRAFT" mode. But for this too, the campaign will be created as "SCHEDULED" mode through the API and after some time only it will be changed to "DRAFT" mode automatically without sending any mails out.

- Agreed this point.

But my question is :

I tried to schedule a campaign name "EventPromotion_7_211220161537" which I set the status as "Schedule" from the API. But the campaign is created inside the constant contact as in "DRAFT" mode.

"Phoenix_All"  is the contact list name attached with this campaign EventPromotion_7_211220161537, which is having just 2 mail-ids alone inside this "Pheonix_All".

sorry, hope you understand my point? let me know any reason, why it was created as "DRAFT" mode instead of creating  as "SCHEDULED" mode ?

Thanks

Re: when sending request to schedule it goes to draft mode

Hello,

I looked at that email in your account, and I do not see it as ever being scheduled.

When you create an email campaign, it is always created as a draft. You cannot modify the status field when using the /v2/emailmarketing/campaigns/ base endpoint. While there is a status field, it is read only. You would need to use the /v2/emailmarketing/campaigns/{campaignId}/schedules/ endpoint after the email is created in order to set the schedule_date and send the email. See here for details on scheduling the email: https://developer.constantcontact.com/docs/campaign-scheduling/campaign-schedule-resource.html?metho...

If you are running into problems with scheduling your email using the method at that link, please let me know.
