ability to add a forward to friend in emails

I created an email using card/announcement and when I tried to add "forward to a friend", "join my mailing list" and permission reminder" I was not able. I would like to have the ability to use these functions in future emails that I create.

Hi everyone! I am following up to the forward to friend feature request. Thank you for your patience as we looked into this! The good news is we have received word from our engineers that feature is now available in our cross device templates under the social share block. Im trying to pull off something such as city name and insert it into the e-mail but I can't find any information on how to do that.  I have uploaded the contacts but still can't get it to work.  Basicall in the intro there is a preset version with the Dear (first name) line.  I want to be able to do something like this in a different section.  Any ideas?

When you are editing your email put the insertion point where you want to place the field. Then use the drop down "Insert Contact Details" to select the field you want.

Help... I am looking for a working forward to a friend code to add to my custom HTML page using the Advanced editor. I have tried, as suggested in the Advanced Editor's User's Guide - <Forward>Note - whatever I put here does not matter, nothing worked</Forward>. Originally I tried including in within a <td></td> tags - no go. My last attempt was to insert it into the body tag - still no workie...

Oh, and the email campaign was sent through my test account...so actually was sent.


I often get emails that were sent by other agencies on Constant Contact and i would like to forwarf them to our lists and cant find a way to do so.  Is there a way. I hate to have to spend the time recreating the email to send to my contacts.

At this time, we do not have a way for you to forward another company's Constant Contact email to your Constant Contact email list without recreating the email yourself.  


It is possible to manually transfer an email from one account to another, but it would require the login credentials of both companies' accounts.  Unless that company wishes to provide you with their login information, then this most likely would not be possible.


I do apologize that, unless they agree to let you login to their account to use the feature in the link above, you will need to recreate the email.

I would like to see the ability to "forward email to a friend" added to the beta mobile email templates.

1. The "greeting" is really hard to use. Once you add it to a block its really hard to type after it. I had to make sure the block was perfect before I added the greeting. 2. There is no longer an "un-do" or "cancel block editing" option. I started typing in the wrong bock, which is now REALLY easy, and there was no way for me to undo the damage I had done. 3. It should be STANDARD for all templates to have a "forward this email" and "join my mailing list" button options! You tell us it is best practice to have them in all emails yet you make it VERY hard for us to easily add them to emails.
- Incomprehensible in the newsletter editing... - ... and the text we supplied never seems to show up anywhere... - I spent a long while trying to test this from a test message but never got a submit button to respond (almost certainly a bug) - ... and going back to testing from our last monthly newsletter I could get submit to respond and get a "This email has been forwarded" response.. but (a long while later, spam folders re-checked etc.) the forwarded messages never actually arrived I look forward to switching to a more reliable e-mail marketing provider as soon as possible.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulty with our Forward to a Friend feature. If you're sending via a test/preview email, that is jus for testing purposes and the actual forward email does not send to the recipient. 


I'd love to take a look at this for you. Is there an email within your account that we can send to ourselves as a test and then try to forward?

Thanks for posting. These header options are still available in regular emails, even when created in a Toolkit account. Could you be using the beta editor to create the email?

1) We've recently made some updates to the Greeting feature (and we're continuing to make more). Please check it out and let us know what you think!


2) There is a page-level Undo/Redo feature, right next to your Email's name and the yellow "Continue" button. 


3) That's good feedback, we'll take this into consideration when making improvements to the product!

The Mobile Templates do not have any blocks for links, content, greetings, or a place to put a "join my newsletter" link. I need those in the formar
In this new beta test email campaign site, you are unable to edit the size of the image. Also there is no option to forward the email at the bottom of the page

You're correct, there's no way to add a "forward email" link at the bottom of your email. Your recipients can still forward you email from their own email inbox, though. 


Good news -- Images can be resized in the editor. Simply drag any corner of an image to increase or decrease the size of an image.

Your social share is really social links NOT share option. Forward this email is 1 of the most important features & there is no option to add that. BUT I do love this format - it's like - so much easier to use!

What is the reason for this?  I'd very curious.  This is something we would do very often, and seems fairly universally valualbe, by are large percentage of your users.


To me, it's one major weakness of using this (and maybe other) online email marketing tools.

Great question. The reason why we don't have this functionality is because your contacts didn't sign up to receive those other people's emails. You'd be sending them unsolicited email which is against our Terms and Conditions


Sorry for any inconvenience. But if someone didn't give explicit permission to receive emails from that company, you can't send it.
