ability to add a forward to friend in emails

I created an email using card/announcement and when I tried to add "forward to a friend", "join my mailing list" and permission reminder" I was not able. I would like to have the ability to use these functions in future emails that I create.

Hi everyone! I am following up to the forward to friend feature request. Thank you for your patience as we looked into this! The good news is we have received word from our engineers that feature is now available in our cross device templates under the social share block. However, the more votes we get for a particular feature request does help our developers decide the priority of what to implement within our system. When an email is forwarded without benefit of a button, the receiver of the forwarded message is able to unsubscribe the original email address -- so my account is down a user, and the person engaged enough to be forwarding messages is then unsubscribed from my list.

That is a great point and I will definitely pass that feedback on to our developers. Unfortunately, even when we had the forward to a friend button included, we didn't see many people utilizing it so that was still a problem. Hopefully our developers can enable something in future releases that will fit your needs!

Our emails are constantly forwarded, that is how people spread the word about our events. When I use the forward button in my email client, the integrity and design of the email goes away. We really need the forward button re-added to the new editor.

The old format had the option to forward the campaing through emails. Can this be added back. When forwarding through Outlook, some of the information does not show up.

I also, have been looking for this feature and think it should be included. Nothing builds excitement about an email campaign as the ability to easily share with and invite friends. Please bring it back!

Hi, is there an update on the status of this feature being added to the Third Generation Editor? We recently had a custom template built by Constant Contact. When I tested out how it looks when it is forwarded from Outlook to Gmail, the formatting was completely off. It would be great to have the forwarding feature for that reason and the reasons other people have shared. Thank you!

At this time we do not have any available updates for the addition of this feature in the new Third-Generation editor. Although they are still reviewing this option, I'd be more than happy to submit your feedback to the correct team. In addition to that, there is some information that we would love to add to the feedback you have provided. In regards to the display issue you were mentioning, if you could send us some information on:

 

- What are the display issues (stretching, colors, etc)?
- What email client was the email forwarded from?
- What email client was the forwarded email received at?

- Would you be able to provide us with a screenshot of the issue being experienced?

It's absurd that they would take this away! It has always been one of the best features of Constant Contact. Word of mouth advertising is always the best, and that's what the "Forward to a Friend" button was all about.

I need to use this function to create sharable campaigns that my business partners can use to send to their own contacts. A more obvious button would be appreciated as well. I need to be able to explain to them that they have to use that button, not the forward in their email client. Maybe it could be an editing element that we could slide anywhere in the email, and have the ability to change the text on the button.Untitled.png
