I imported my list with all my contacts. I want to send contacts in two states a separate email blast from the rest. I did import the state into Constant Contact. I searched the list for the two states, but button that would allow me to move contacts disappeared when I went into the Search function. So I have to go back to Salesforce and manually create two lists again and upload them back into Constant Contact?

I don't have trouble moving contacts from one list to another, I simply want to remove contacts from List 1 when I move them to List 2
Thanks for clarifying. When you search for a contact you do lose the "Move or Copy to" option that is available when you check off contacts within a list because the contacts may be part of more than one list and the system would not know where to move them "from". When you search for a contact you can control what list(s) they are part of by clicking the email address and then "Lists" on the left. You can check off or uncheck any lists you would like here.
Also when you search you have a "Save as List" option available. As a workaround, you could search for specific contacts, save them to a new list and then make sure they are only in that list using these steps.
I know this is not ideal for your situation. There are big updates coming to the contacts area of your account very soon that will make some changes to your "contact management". Stay tuned!
