Add Search Option to Campaigns

Add Search Option to Campaigns

It would be extremely helpful if I could type a couple words to search for in past campaigns. Then I could easily locate the different emails we have used to market past events we are repeating. Thanks!

Please add a Search feature to the new interface. It is too timely to scroll back through pages and pages of campaigns. This would help make marketing with Constant Contact easier, faster, and more efficient - not harder and more time-consuming.

What did you do ???? Where is my email? Cannot get to it??????????????? Thanks. Randy Veillon

We have been using CC for several years and probably have thousands of old archived campaigns. It would be nice to have a feature where we could search the names and/or content for specific words to find a previous campaign to use as a model for a similar one.
Solution Provider

You are so on the money. Once again CC has issued a new and improved feature by making it even slower and more difficult to use. If you have 20 - 50 emails this probably works but if you have more than 50 (we have 400+) to have to scroll down and down again and again takes forever. And the customer specialist sneeringly suggested that all I had to do was change the sort to get to where I wanted to go. Tell me how that works for you when you want to find  "LOP MZT 2017". This new and improved feature makes old system which was miserable look good in comparison. Give us the ability to search by name or date or at least let us list more than 25 campaigns at a time and click different pages.

Please create a way to search for old emails. We used to be able navigate by page.
You used to have a toggle at the bottom that let you scroll back to previous pages. It was MUCH more efficient. I have spent WAY too long trying to find an old email. Some things were better with the previous version.

There has got to be a way to search campaigns. Am I missing it? We duplicate things from year to year and it sure would be nice to find what I did this time last year easier. I've had to hit the "view more campaings" button a 100 times. Thanks!

I have a big history of past campaigns that i refer to constantly. It would be helpful to have a search by date period to find older emails. thanks

If you locate a past campaign, for example in 2015, you open it, its not the one you wanted, so click the back button on the browser and instead of returning to the 2015 point I was searching, I am returned to the beginning of the most recent campaign. I am forced to go through "view more campaigns" over and over until I get back to 2015 and try again. Very frustrating and a real time waster!

Would it be possible to allow searches by campaign name or by date? Thank you.

When will there be the ability to search by campaign name???

Spent an hour scanning back through Sent e-mails...we use a lot of the same campaigns year in and year out and it saves a great deal of time to be able to go back and copy a past e-mail. I used to be able to go back to page 20 for example, and pick up a past, Sent , email...now have to go page by page...takes FOREVER and just when I got close to the e-mail I needed to copy...the site froze up. Very frustrating and time consuming. Can you reinstall the "go to page"? It would be so much easier and much less frustrating. Thanks for your consideration!

Please add functionality to search/filter email campaigns. We regularly copy information or re-use blurbs for events that are repeated on a yearly basis. Because we are productive and have been with your company for a long time, however, we have over 2000 emails we have to wade through and scroll through to find them. A simple database query/search/filter functionality would be so amazing.

I am looking for a campaign from August 2014 and its VERY DIFFICULT to search. Before you switched the format I was able to search easily by skipping to any page number I wanted. now I just have to keep hitting next which takes a very long time to get to last years campaign.

Why can't you search for emails? Why is there no option to click on a page number or letter to find campaigns easier? We have over 6,000 emails that we can no longer filter through. Please find a way to correct or you will be losing customers.

Please add a way to do a keyword search for previous campaigns, similar to how one can search for contacts or email lists.

Sometimes you don't need to break something that is working. This new interface SUCKS!

Me too, also need the ability to search through at least the titles of old emails.

Your new format, which has me scroll down again and again to try to find a campaign, is taking huge amounts of my time. I used to go to page numbers and find past emails. Is there a SEARCH function or another way to quickly find emails that's not obvious? Thank you!
Occasional Participant

Best for me would be able to search previous emails key words, so i can quickly see what i've posted on certain topics and when. Need asap! Thank you.

It'[s ridiculous that a paid service does not have this simple and most basic feature.  Somnomething is missing from the customer-focus of this provider.  I Will be SEARCHING for a replacement product.

In the old campaign view, I used to be able to see the thumbnails of the campaign in the list. Now I have to spend 1000 times longer searching for past campaigns because the thumbnail is now shown until you click into the campaign. Then when you go back, you have to start at the beginning of the list. Huge step backward. I honestly don't see how the new interface is better. I couldn't name one thing that I've noticed as an improvement.

After the newest update it seems difficult to search for an email I sent a few years ago without scrolling through every other email I have sent in the past 3 years. Why delete the ability to just search to page 5 of sent emails?
Member
Insanely slow to go back to view/copy previous campaigns from previous months/years. Please, please fix.
All Star
Please add a search function to emails to make it easier to find and re-use past emails. Now I have to either manually weed through the old emails or find it in my inbox to go back and find the date. A search box would be highly useful!

I wanted to copy an email "campaign" I had created before, but there are no page numbers or letters to toggle through to get to it. It seems you can now only sort by A-Z, but then you have to hit "view more campaigns," over and over and over again. There needs to be a short cut, a way to search or jump ahead pages! Thanks.

YES!!!! This new set up is worse than before. I don't understand why there is no search feature! It boggles me.

Your new User Interface is not very efficient. I needed to find a message sent over 2 years ago - had to scroll and load Sent emails back in time - took over 5 minutes. Need a Search function to search for message by key words.

I would love to be able to keyword seach through my sent campaigns (and maybe even drafts). I have things that get sent out on a monthly and annual basis, but it is often difficult to find the last one I sent out to use as a template for the next one. The folders for sent items used to be so helpful, but they no longer give me the option of viewing items not yet in folders, so I have no idea what's been archived and what hasn't.

Member
I'm sure you've heard this before but it would be so valuable and make our use of your site easier if we could search by keyword through previous campaigns. If we want to repeat an email from a previous year, we have to spend time searching through all of our campaigns. Just a simple text search would be great.
That question is rhetorical and sarcastic. I have almost 3,000 campaigns and a lot of them get re-used (we operate on a quarter calendar). It takes a lot of UNNECESSARY time to scroll to past campaigns. Let's not even mention how there's no search feature... The folder and type options are of NO USE to me. #ANNOYED

Have you considered a search function? Do we really need to "load" emails all the way down to find sent emails from a year ago? Maybe I'm missing these functionalities but this is taking up way too much time. Thanks
Senior Member

Can you please explain why exactly Constant Contact has not provided this most basic feature, to be able to search through your sent email collection using keywords?

People have been asking you to do this for several years.  Clearly, there is a major need for this very basic feature.

Regular Visitor
Epic fail of new interface. I need to search campaigns by name. This is again proof that the developers do not use their own software.
Regular Visitor

Yes, an Epic Fail for the new interface.  Too dumb to imagine.  Clearly the new release was not tested by real people with real accounts.  Did CC even conduct a beta test?  My guess is 'no' - by the lack of a necessary search function (not a 'feature').

Hello, I often "repeat" emails from past years and was able to simply search by page number of all emails sent. This feature is no longer an option. Perhaps we can bring it back? Thank you.
there should be a search option, either by keyword or by date. it's so hard to go back to old campaigns and this update made it worse. at least before you can type in the page to find a campaign, now I have to go through all of them to find one I need to copy.
Senior Member

I desperately need a keyword search. So much I may find another platform.

We are wondering if there will be a text to join option for canadians? Also In the Registration for events section it would be helpful if you could add HST 13% and a cash option under payment.

Hello Alison332,

Have you tried to sort the emails from oldest to newest or A-Z feature at the upper right hand side under the campaigns tab?

A-Z.png

You may also try going to the status selection on the left hand side of the page to zero in on the older campaigns. I also recommend to use the folders option and putting the campaigns you want to easily access in the folders. I will also let our VOC team know of this feature request. Thank you for the feedback.

Hi @Alison332,

I'm sorry that we don't currently have the ability to search keywords across multiple email campaigns -- but we encourage you to pass along this idea directly to our product teams. You can post it in the feedback section of the Community. Have a great day!

The previous system thought not great was much, much quicker. Please could you add a search function for campaigns????? Please!!

Since the system was updated, it has take me three times as long to find a past campaign. Add a search bar, or go back to the numbered pages of past emails. It's very frustrating.
Member

I completely agree it's VERY frustrating!. Much prefered the numbered pages across the bottom.

I used Constant Contact 4 years ago, and I could use a template and enter my own html and css. What the hell happened? Then when I ask support for answers, they send me a link to an outdated doc.

All I want to do is use my own background image in my email campaign and can't do it.

I custom coded an email with my own background image, and can't save it as a template. Then "Tier 2" decided to "help" me with custom coding, and they put a background image over my background image!

I have seen page after page of people complaining about this, but no answers! And what's the voting about???? Just answer the freaking question!!!!

Ps: I can't even see where to post my own comment, and can only comment on someone else's. (Btw, your subject line is perfect!)

Please add a search feature to the campains since you only allow a few to be viewed at once. Being able to search back a year (for an annual email for example) would be really helpful. Since your last upgrade, it's harder to find older email campaigns.

If I would like to see a campaign I sent two years ago - what's the fastest way for me to find it? If I know the File Name, is there a way to search to find it quickly? Do I have to go through hundreds of sent campaigns in order to find it - or is there a fast way to find it in 30 seconds? Thank you.

I can't see the names of my old emails in your CAMPAIGN settings. Love the social media scheduling ALOT!

Have to say I completely agree as well.
