You might want to put something in your help pages that would tell a brand new user how to send out an initial email asking someone to opt-in. Something like
"If you want to contact a person to ask them to opt-in send out an email, not from Constant Contact and then add in a link__________. Or you can use social media etc."
This would help a user with little knowledge.
