Thanks in advance -
I make custom art for our emailers specifically sized for the email. Generally 550px width with some padding depending. We switched to 3rd gen editor today and I cannot figure out how to set the exact size of the image to be 550px. When I add the image it only lets me "stretch or shrink" the image manually with the mouse. And if you use the image editor and lock the image to he exact size it still does not adjust the image in the email. And from an artist perspective, I can tell it distorts the image slightly if its not 550px width.
In Gen 2 editor you could type in the exact width of the image. Is this not a basic feature of the new editor?

We ask for additional comments and votes be left on the open idea for showing a pixel size when resizing images. Our Product team regularly reviews our Feedback boards more than our Get Help area. Though we do not have a time estimate of if a feature like this will be available in the product, any updates will be posted there, not on this post. Voting and commenting on that post helps to influence future product decisions and allows you to be notified of replies from our teams.
There currently isn't a way to control the exact dimensions of an image within the third-generation editor. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. This is however a feature request I have tracked in your account and passed on to our team of engineers. In the meantime you would have to resize your image manually then drag to resize.
Is this still not available? I have two images I just uploaded and need to ensure they are both 100px..... and I have to eyeball it? It's been nearly three years and this 3rd generation editor is still trash. Unacceptable.
Hello @idaUPMOs ,
If you're needing to set exact dimensions for your images, you can do so within the image editor.
William was happy to read your email and went to an email and tried to see how it works ...
I have two pictures side by side and they "appear" to be the same size. It took some time playing with the corner handles to do that adjusting the height up and down watching the text in the next block move once the image size was "outside" the existing block. So my image looks OK.
I then looked at the dimensions to see how well I had sized the image and .... one height was 717 and the other image height was 510... How can this be? It seems this is the image resolution. I cannot make the 510 image bigger to the 717 size but I can resize the 717 height to 510.
When I look at the images in the email they are still the same as before - I do not understand - can you explain the resoltion issue and sizing.
What I want is the 2nd gen editor which allowed me to set the image height so I could match the image size when two images are side by side. I have asked the chat and the call in help about this but each time was told the height size feature was only possible with grabbing the handles not by setting it.
Your thoughts and pointing me to a specific how-to-page would be great if the option to see the height or width of an image is possible
Hi @DavidK5023 ,
This article will best explain editing the image's resolution in the system's editor. You can of course just go to the My Library page to see your files' sizes and (if applicable) resolutions. However if you're needing to edit those, you'll either need to do so through the Library's built-in image editor, or in a program outside of our system.
i william I'm not so much interested in the resolution part since I have multiple tools for that.... I apologize that perhaps I have not explained the issue which is frustrating me - I want to be able to make sure that the Height or the width of 2 images are the same ... For example when I put images one under the other I like that the image width is the same size. For this layout I'm not worried about the height.
When I put 2 images side by side I want the images to have the same height.
In the 2nd gen editor this was easy to set up by looking at the important dimension and then making sure the adjacent image had ths same dimension.
This capability is not available in the 3rd gen editor - I have to eye ball the height of the image and set it by using the corner image handles
Is there a simple way to ensure that two images side by side have the same physical (pixel, inch, mm) height.
That way I can set it and forget it compared to the 3rd gen way of sizing images using the size handles when the image is in the email.
Please add my account to the list for exact image sizing for the third generation email editor. Has there been any updates in regard to this? I'm just curious as to why this functionality wasn't carried over from the second generation editor to the third?
