is it possible to remove the disclaimer from a sign-up form without changing it elsewhere?

Hello @RichardW67 ,

In order to be both compliant, and legal in some regions, disclaimers / footers are required on all sign up forms created by us. To tweak the "marketing emails" bit in the footer, you can replace that term with what you want through your account settings. The physical address of your account is what's reflected in the footer as well.
