Hi, all. I can't seem to get a clear answer from CC about this capability, so I decided to ask the people actually using the system.
What we need to do is simple. We want to create one email reminder for an event that occurs every Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. The email reminder should go out every Tuesday an hour before the event. The automated sequence won't be triggered by a new contact added, someone not opening the email, etc. It needs to be triggered only by the date and time. Is that possible with the standard or plus versions of CC?
Thanks so much for your help.
Hello @WritingYourLife ,
If you prefer an automation setup, your best bet is to setup a List-Join trigger for the auto series and just copy the same step over and over with whatever minor updates need to be made (such as location or guest details). Then just dump the applicable contacts into that list, and otherwise don't add or take away from the list.
Otherwise, my recommendation would be to just make a regular email, and schedule it to send out on Tuesday at 6pm to the respective list. Then just copy that email and schedule it for each subsequent Tuesday.
Thanks, William. We are currently copying/creating a separate email for each week and scheduling it. That's what we are trying to get away from. We do have a list, and the proper people have been added to the list. I'm just not seeing a way to make the one email go out to that list every Tuesday at the same time.
Compliance and deliverability contribute some of the reasons that we don't have a mechanism to just continuously send out the exact same email regularly to the same list, without some degree of manual setup. Our Review team might be able to give you more insight on that, but it's not a function that's currently in the works.
