Body content showing up in the preheader

Our preheader, even if populated, then runs into the body content and appears in the email subject.  How do we have the preheader only include the copy we put in the preheader field, and not capture the content in the body?

This is dependent on how much content you have for the preheader and varies from email program to email program. Some email programs will absolutely show body text in their inbox text previews, including image alt text, and this is something that simply can't be mitigated.
