Hello! Been using CC for a while and haven't really had any issues. Recently it seems like there have been some updates to the campaign designer, especially with color selection. Now when I go to change the color of the "Article Layout Border" nothing happns? I can change the backrounds and colors of all other sections but no matter what, the border just stays grey. Anyone else having this issue??
We currently have two types of templates, 3GE and Cross-Device. At this time our Cross-Device templates do not have the option to change the outside border. We are tracking this feature request. In the meantime, you can either leave the border color as is, select a cross device template with a border color that matches what you want, or use one of our 3GE templates.

Hi. This did not solve my issue. I have been using CC for over three years with no problems changing article layout border and divider colors. Since CC revamped their layout and upgrades, neither of those choices works. I have no idea if I am using a 3GE or Cross-Device. I just know it all stopped working. Any help? Is my issue related to the response you gave JustinS354?
Thanks...
If the border color isn't changing when you make color changes in the Design tab (left-hand menu in the editor), then you're likely using the CPE which doesn't allow for border customization at this time.
It's nearly 3 months later and the border is still not able to be styled with a custom color. When might this be resolved?
Was this issue ever resolved? I see where they are recommending a "CPE" that will allow for changing. After I've just spent half and hour building an email, how can I transfer all of this information to a new template? Or do I have to start over from scratch?
Hello @MarleneD20,
We do appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, you will want to start from scratch and copy and paste your text over to a new template. Thank you.
This is really disappointing!
None of these answers my issue, particularly because no response tells you how to decide which type of platform(?) you are using---3GE or CCE. If I am using one which doesn't allow the color change, is there a way to get on that platform? It is very discordant (and not a good advertisement of CC) to make everything one color palette and then have royal blue sticking out like a sore thumb. I am fine with the fact that I may not be using the platform that gets me the look I want, but please, your answers need to provide more information so the customer can make a choice. I would most likely choose the one that has the asthetics I am trying to achieve. I just need to know how. Thank you.
CPE is the builder that's currently unable to edit the border colorings of email templates. The most quickly noticeable difference between the 3ge and CPE builders is their headings. CPE emails will have this heading:
Emails copied from other templates that used the 3ge builder will utilize it, with its blue save and undo/redo buttons, as well as its large orange Continue button.
This is outrageous. With the amount of money charged, we should be able to customize and change the outer boarder color. Get it together.
