All I get is a rainbow thumbnail placeholder in CC rather than the vimeo video thumbnail.
I do apologize that you are running into this! This is an issue that our engineering team is working to get resolved - I will have them reach back out to you with any updates or fixes we have on this issue. In the meantime, we do have some workarounds that you can try:
1:
- Visit video on Vimeo
- Copy Link from the Share option by clicking the paper plane icon
- Insert the newly copied share link into a video block
Note: Some users have had luck copying the URL in the Embed Code section of the share popup rather than the direct video share URL.
2: Create an image of video and insert it as a clickable image to link to the video
3: In some cases, it has been stated that removal of the "s" from "https" in the video URL can resolve the issue
4: Try setting the video thumbnail in Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/blog/post/turn-any-video-frame-into-a-thumbnail
5: In some cases, it has been stated that if you delete the video block and then add it back in with the same URL it will resolve the issue
Please let us know if any of those workarounds work out for you. If you need help walking through any of them, please feel free to reach out to our support team at 866-289-2101 for some live, 1:1 assistance.
